"Work smart. Not hard."
Summary
I strongly believe that everyone has the capability to excel. The things that differ amongst individuals in their journey to success is the time they need to get there and the learning method that suit each person the best. Hence, I always take a patient approach when tutoring students to help them see that learning is not always a chore but something that can be fun and relatable to real life scenarios. Rest assured that I will help you understand all the concepts in Math and/or Science and I will also answer all your queries outside of our lessons.
I can help you make smarter use of your time by using the SMART goals studying technique. The average student may put in 10 hours of studying a day, but that does not equals results/progress/milestone achieved. The goal and habit-oriented student may spend 6 hours each day studying but with an end goal in mind. That means they know what they want out of their study session and focus on achieving that particular learning goal when studying. And that person is going to be you.
I will share all the key learning and studying techniques with you that I use when I approach the different levels of difficulties in Mathematics. (and if you are keen, I can also share my experience in managing studies altogether.) I will use exam questions for secondary school students and Onsponge practice book for primary school students to practice in class.
In each tutoring session I will
i. Go through any queries you have in your school homework
ii. Do fun exam questions and break down my line of thought for you so that you can see how I think. I actually think the thinking part is much more engaging than the solving part.
iii. Use experiential learning to demonstrate the application of certain mathematical concepts
I hope to be able to work comfortably with you to achieve your desired grade.
