Volume of a cube is derived by Length x Breadth x Height, and a cube has a length, breadth, and height of the same length.
i) Hence, with the volume of the cube = 21952mm^3 ,
Length of each plastic stick used (each side of the cube) can be found by the Cube Root of 21952 = ∛21952 = 28mm
ii) To find the total length of plastic sticks used, you must first understand how many stick is used to build a cube. Drawing a 3D diagram might help you visualize this (See picture) - 12 sticks are used.
Hence, total length of sticks used = 28 x 12 = 336mm
