For part 1, are you able to use the calculator for this?

Simply cube root 21952 and you'll get 28cm (which is the length of each side of the cube, or the length of each plastic stick)

For part 2, recognize that a cube framework is constructed using 12 sticks; hence, total length of sticks is simply 12 × 28 = 336cm

Volume of a cube is derived by Length x Breadth x Height, and a cube has a length, breadth, and height of the same length.

i) Hence, with the volume of the cube = 21952mm^3 ,
Length of each plastic stick used (each side of the cube) can be found by the Cube Root of 21952 = ∛21952 = 28mm

ii) To find the total length of plastic sticks used, you must first understand how many stick is used to build a cube. Drawing a 3D diagram might help you visualize this (See picture) - 12 sticks are used.
Hence, total length of sticks used = 28 x 12 = 336mm
