Let the number of men be x and the number of women be y
(x-1) = 6y
x = 6y+1 — eqn (1)
x = 7(y-1) — eqn (2)
6y+1 = 7y-7
y = 8
x = 49
(x-1) = 6y
x = 6y+1 — eqn (1)
x = 7(y-1) — eqn (2)
6y+1 = 7y-7
y = 8
