Alternative working for :

Case 2

Number of ways to choose 2 people from 5 to give the gifts = 5C2

Number of ways to choose who gets 1 gift and who gets 2 gifts among the pair
= 2!

5C2 x 2! = 10 x 2 = 20

Case 3

Number of ways to choose 3 people from 5 to give each 1 gift = 5C3 = 10
