Can I know how did you find 1a? Coz i still dont understand.
You mean 5a?
Hi yes, sorry its sposed to be 5a
Okay hold on
Equal concept question.
You need to make the denominator of Mary and Jolene the same.Which is 4.
No. Make the numerator the same.
Oh,sorry about that.
1/2 of Mary's savings = 3/4 of Jolene's savings.
Since this part is the same for both, the number of units must be the same so we make the numerator the same.
Mary : 1/2 = 3/6
So 3 units out of 6 units of Mary's is the same as 3 units out of 4 units of Jolene's.
From the denominator , we can say that Mary has 6 units in total and Jolene had 4 units in total.
Ratio = 6 : 4 = 3 : 2
Ratio = 6 : 4 = 3 : 2
Jolene saves $64.
So 4 units = $64
1 unit = $64 ÷ 4 = $16
Mary saves 6 units
= 6 x $16
= $96
So 4 units = $64
1 unit = $64 ÷ 4 = $16
Mary saves 6 units
= 6 x $16
= $96
Oh ok ok now I understand clearly thank you very much both of you
