1/2 of Mary's savings = 3/4 of Jolene's savings.

Since this part is the same for both, the number of units must be the same so we make the numerator the same.

Mary : 1/2 = 3/6

So 3 units out of 6 units of Mary's is the same as 3 units out of 4 units of Jolene's.

From the denominator , we can say that Mary has 6 units in total and Jolene had 4 units in total.

Ratio = 6 : 4 = 3 : 2

Jolene saves $64.

So 4 units = $64

1 unit = $64 ÷ 4 = $16

Mary saves 6 units

= 6 x $16

= $96

Use equating numerator method to solve this question. Make the numerator equal.
