Model way :
Greater number : ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ or 7 x ⬜
Smaller number : ⬜
Difference = ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ or 6 x ⬜ = 2400
So 1 ⬜ = 2400 ÷ 6 = 4000
Sum of numbers
= ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ Or 8 x ⬜
= 8 x 400
= 3200
