A) if Lily wrapper 3/5 of the presents, this would mean Jean wrapped the remaining which is (1 - 3/5 = 2/5).
So the difference between the presents Lily and Jean wrapped is 3/5 - 2/5 = 1/5
B) since they both wrapped the same amount on day 1, so the only difference is on day 2. Lily wrapped 30 while Jean wrapped 16. The difference is (30 - 16 = 14).
So this difference of 14 is the 1/5 mentioned in part A.
Hence the total gifts they wrapped = 14 x 5 = 70.
So the difference between the presents Lily and Jean wrapped is 3/5 - 2/5 = 1/5
