make denominator the same
5/10 W is 4/10 X
therefore W is 10units, X is 12units
X is 2/3 Z
make denominator the same
X is 12/12, therefore Z is 8/12
since (a) asks for ratio, simplify X:W:Z from 10:12:8 to 5:6:4
(b) is pretty straightforward just divide total and multiply
