W : X : Z should be 12 : 15 : 10
Since 1/2 of W’s savings is equal to 2/5 of X’s savings, it follows that 2/4 of W’s savings is equal to 2/5 of X’s savings.
W : X must correspondingly be the ratio of their denominators, or 4 : 5.
And X : Z = 3 : 2 based on the question.
Putting them together, we have 12 : 15 : 10.
Since 1/2 of W’s savings is equal to 2/5 of X’s savings, it follows that 2/4 of W’s savings is equal to 2/5 of X’s savings.

5/10 W is 4/10 X
therefore W is 10units, X is 12units
X is 2/3 Z
make denominator the same
X is 12/12, therefore Z is 8/12
since (a) asks for ratio, simplify X:W:Z from 10:12:8 to 5:6:4
(b) is pretty straightforward just divide total and multiply
