a) she earned $675 from cheese popcorn so the number of tins of cheese she sold is $675/$15 = 45 tins
5 units = 45 tins of cheese
1 unit = 45/5 = 9 tins of butter
3 units = 9x3 = 27 tins of caramel

Amount earned from butter = 9 x $8 = $72
Amount earned from caramel = 27 x $12 = $324
Total amount earned = $72 + $324 + $675 = $1071

b) Number of tins sold = 45+9+27 = 81
since that is 1/4 of total tins, total tins is 4x81 = 324 tins
