She bought equal amount of brown and white rice: white rice is half of the total amount of rice, and brown rice is the other half
She had 3/4 of white rice left: she cooked 1/4 of white rice
1/4 of white rice = (1/4 × 1/2) of total amount of rice =1/8
Had 3/8 of brown rice left: cooked 5/8 of brown rice
5/8 of brown rice = (5/8 x 1/2) of total amount of rice = 5/16
Total amount of rice cooked = 1/8 + 5/16 = 2/16 + 5/16 = 7/16

Thank you! :)
This is incorrect. The amount of cooked white rice and brown rice is the same, not the total amount of white and brown is the same for each.
Oh okay. Thx!
Welcome.
