Firstly, time does not have a direction. So '-2seconds' is wrong. Time must be a positive real number
Secondly the trajectory of the ball in the diagram is wrong, it is 'thrown upwards from distance 10m from ground' so the movement would be in my diagram as drawn.
To solve such questions you would need to solve a first path (upwards to an instantaneous stop) then a second path (downwards towards the ground). Total time taken will be 2s.
