As a solution, the answer is correct but it is missing quite a fair bit of explanation.
First, |1 - λ| = 1 - λ as 0 < λ < 1 => 0 < 1 - λ < 1.
The step of q x q = 0 vector should be there as well.
Lastly, there is a need to say that |p| = 1 as p is a unit vector. Other than that, everything is fine.
