12) Assume that one-digit number is X
If 4X - 2X = 18; 2X = 18, hence X = 9

13) If a number can be divided by 5, then it has to end with 0 or 5. Since the nunber is lesser than 40, when 4 is added to it, and can only be divisinle by 4, it can only be:

Deducting 4 from these numbers, they are:
36

16
6
Hence the number can either be 16 or 36!
