12) Assume that one-digit number is X
If 4X - 2X = 18; 2X = 18, hence X = 9

13) If a number can be divided by 5, then it has to end with 0 or 5. Since the nunber is lesser than 40, when 4 is added to it, and can only be divisinle by 4, it can only be:

Deducting 4 from these numbers, they are:

Hence the number can either be 16 or 36!

14) When rounded off to the nearest hundred the number is 25700 hence the number is minimally 25650 and maximally 25749. Hence the greatest number can be 25749
