Wait im confused,how’d u get 120?

Each “group” is $32 with the discount.
We need to build up such “groups” until a value of $118.
118/32 = 3 R 22
So, there must have been 3 complete groups and a further $22 in cost.
Each “group” is $40 before the discount.
$120 is obtained by multiplying the 3 groups with the $40 figure.
Add $22 to this and we get the $142 bill.
