Area of quarter circle AFD = Pi(x**)/2
Shaded area = quarter circle - triangle
= (1/2 Pi - 1) x**
Total area = rectangle + semi-circle
= (2 + 1/2 Pi)x**
Hence,
Fraction of shaded area
= ((1/2 Pi - 1)x**) / ((2 + 1/2 Pi)x**)
= (Pi - 2) / (Pi + 4)
