It is noteworthy to know that the radius of a circle is perpendicular to any tangent touching a circle.

In other words, if C is the centre of circle C1, then the tangent is perpendicular to line CP.

Recall that the product of gradients of any two pairs of perpendicular lines equals -1.

Find gradient of AP. This is also the normal at point P. Find the grad of tangent at P and proceed to find eq of line.
