For part 2, there are 2 cases. Case 1 is where the two adjacent Ts are not at the left edge or the right edge, so there is a letter to the left and right of the two Ts. Case 2 is where the adjacent Ts are on the left and right edge. Since the number of ways for left edge is the same as for the right edge, you see me multiplying the entire working by 2 to get 5880.
