3 - 4/5 = 2 1/5
3 - 2/3 = 2 1/3

2 1/5 + 2 1/3

= 2 3/15 + 2 5/15

= 4 8/15

To add or subtract fractions, we need to make sure the values of denominators are the same (see my answers attached). Hope that helps!
