Since we are trying to find how much she invested in the 7% scheme, lets just call it X.

Agree that X(0.07) is the amount of interest she has earned from the 7% scheme and that (78000-X) (0.05) is the amount of interest that she will get from the 5% scheme.

That means the total of those 2 amounts is 4800. Solve for X.
