Why is the ans 2 and not 3?

Maybe your teacher made a mistake. To get the answer for 2, you would round down 11.5 to 11 (11 x 9 - 5 = 94). Maybe your teacher meant to put 11.49 instead of 11.5

For me i will clarify with the teacher.
Only if the teacher said is no mistake in the question than 94 is the answer.
As 11.5 can round down or round up :).

it's like you said though. anything equal or higher than 0.5 is rounded up but in the answer, you rounded down the 11.5
Let simplify nearest whole number >=0.5 round up,
Less than or equal to 0.5 round down.
I round 11.5 to 11 as i can round up the other part no in the question.
Try to analyse a few qs there than can get the hang of it.

However as a student back than if received that qs for hmk i will clarify with the teacher.

I will take
