May I ask how to get the answer ? The 3/5 Is for the girl and boy in Hall. Total is 240 ÷ 5 is it ?

But may I ask. Why we get 3u x 3 and 5ux 3 and why total is 15
Because, the number of boys is unchanged.
So we need to make the units the same for both ratios for the boys.
Common factor of 2 and 3 is 6
(2 x 3 = 6, 3 x 2 = 6)
So the top ratio multiply by 3 and the bottom ratio multiply by 2.
Now the units are all the same size and therefore comparable
