4374 ÷ (-3) = -1458
So 4374 = -1458 × (-3)

-1458 ÷ (-3) = 1458 ÷ 3 = 486
So -1458 = 486 × (-3)

486 ÷ (-3) = -162
So 486 = -162 × (-3)

-162 ÷ (-3) = 162 ÷ 3 = 54
So -162 = 54 × (-3)

①The previous term is always -3 × the current term.
The previous term is divided by -3 to get the current term.
The current term is -⅓ × the previous term.
Or
②The subsequent term is -⅓ × the current term.
The current term is divided by -3 to get the subsequent term.
The current term is always -3 × the next term.

Overall this is is represented by the following :
Tn = -3T(n+1)
Or
T(n+1) = -⅓Tn
