We do not know the number of boys that joined.
But we do know the number of girls in the class remained the same. Hence, we find the number of girls in the class.
Knowing that 46% of the class were boys. The remaining (54%) were girls.
We know the number of girls by taking 60% x 45.
Since number of girls don’t change, 54% is equivalent to the number of girls initially in the class. With that, we find the current number of boys in the class.
And we can find out how many boys joined the class
