a) Acrobat B is able to help Acrobat A jump to a greater height by landing nearer to the end of the plank as possible.

b) When Acrobat C replaced Acrobat B, Acrobat A is able to jumped a greater height due to the increased in body mass of Acrobat C as compared to Acrobat B. Hence, Acrobat A is able to jumped higher.
