Picture is just to fulfill the requirements.
The Hyacinth at the water surface blocks sunlight from entering the pond. This results in the Hydrilla at the bottom of the pond being unable to absorb sunlight required for photosynthesis, eventually dying out. Assuming the Hydrilla are a source of food and oxygen for the fishes in the pond, the Hydrillas dying out will eventually result in the fishes being devoid of any source of food or oxygen, eventually dying out as well.
