To find x, just sub in y = -2
If you have to use elimination method to find x as well:
multiply (0.6x - y = 0.5) by 0.4 to get (0.24x - 0.4y = 0.2)
Eliminate the y, you get (-0.36x = 0.9), hence (x = -2.5)
