Hi Breina,

For perimeter, notice that there's a total of 1.5 circumferences in addition to 14 cm at the top.

For area, notice that out of 6 squares, the unshaded area forms a full circle. This means that,

Area of 6 squares - Area of circle = the shaded area within these 6 squares

Then, simply add the area of half a circle to get the total shaded area
