You understand total dots for figure 50 = 1275.
You need to find either unshaded dots or shaded dots.
If you notice unshaded dots of even figure (Figure 2, 4, 6 .....50)
You can get formula (F÷2)² = unshaded dots.
So, figure (50÷2)² = 625.
Therefore, shaded dots = 1275-625=650.
