a) height of the water = 5/8(24cm) = 15cm
1m^3 = 1000L
21 L = 0.021m^3 = 21000cm^3
Base area = 21000cm^3 ÷ 15cm = 1400cm^2 (ans)
b) 3/8 of the tank is not filled ,
3/8(24cm) = 9cm
Water needed to be filled
= 1400cm^2 x 9cm
= 12600 cm^3
= 12.6 L (ans)
