AREA OF P+S+R = 172CM²
FROM (a), S=16CM²
AREA OF P+R = 172CM² - 16CM²
= 156CM²
SINCE AREA OF P IS TWICE THE AREA OF R, *
156CM² ÷ 3 = 52CM²
Thus area of R:
AREA = LENGTH × BREADTH
LENGTH = AREA ÷BREADTH
= 52CM² ÷ 4 CM
=13CM
*(if dont understand, draw a model of P & R, with their total being 156cm²)
