Your ans for 1) is correct but for 2) is wrong. The other method to do (2):
3 x $0.60 = $1.80
$10.80 + $1.80 = $12.60
* Basically we're topping up $0.60 shortage for each eraser, so that's $1.80 and adding it to the cost of 3 rulers and 3 erasers so, technically we'll have the cost of 6 rulers.
