A greater temperature difference between the object and the water will result the object to be heated up more.

This will allow the object and the water to have the same temperature afterwards.

The difference between room temperature and 90° is higher than the difference between 85° and 90°, so the objects in beakers R and S will be heated up less.

The more exposed surface area of the object in contact with the water, the object will be heated up at a faster rate.

The object in beaker S has more exposed surface area than the object in beaker R.

Hence the object with the least increase in temperature is in beaker R.
