if A played with B,C,D,E
and B played with A,C D
that means D has played 2 games, with A & B!
- contradicts with given information!

should be
A played with B,C,D,E (correct)
B played with A,C,E (amended)
C played with A,B (correct)
D played with A (correct)
E played with A & B (amended)

Answer : Eric has played 2 games

to Izaac ...
cannot draw the normal bar model diagram for this type of question.

to visualize this problem, you can draw a diagram with letters A,B,C,D & E placed around a circle.
connect lines between letters to show a game between 2 players.
A will have a line connected to each of B,C,D,E
B will have a line connected to each of A,C,E
... and so on.
at the end, E will have 2 lines, connected to A & B.
