If isabelle is 100 then Valerie was 140
Now
Valerie bough 25 more means
11.25 x 140 = 175% of isabelle original
Then isabelle gave away is 75% of original
Therefore 225% of isabelle
Total book /225 x 140 = Valerie book

I don't understand how you get 11.25
If I use 750÷225×140 = 466.666 but answer should be 420
It did help me in understanding that both V & I have 100% as 1u though. Anyway thanks
Valerie = 100%+40%+25% = 175%
Isabelle = 100%-25% = 75%
175%+75%=250
250%=750
1%=750÷250=3
140×3=420
If I use 750÷225×140 = 466.666 but answer should be 420
