I really don’t understand why it’s 2/5y=3/4x since one is the smaller and the other is a bigger number so how could it be equal pls enlighten me thank u so much!

Is given by question that....
2/5 of big number is 3/4 of smaller number
Mean..
2/5 of big number = 3/4 of smaller number
2/5 of big number(y) is 3/4 of smaller number(x)
2y/5 = 3x/4
