There were 57 boxes and each box can contain 18 cookies. Therefore, number of cookies in all the box = 57 X 18 = 1026

Number of cookies left = 1500 - 1026 = 474

Each bag can contain 9 cookies. So number of bags = 474/9 = 52 2/3

The teacher filled 52 bags of cookies, and had 2/3*9 = 6 cookies remaining.
