No. 2 units = $14.20 + $14.20 + $24.80
= $53.20
When Beatty gave Amy $14.20, Amy's amount increased by $14.20 but Beatty's amount decreased by $14.20. Their difference has increased by 2 times the amount given.

Thanks! Is the answer 1 units + 14.20?
Yes correct.
1 unit = $53.20 ÷ 2 = $26.60
Beatty's amount at first
= 1 unit + $14.20
= $26.60 + $14.20
= $40.80
1 unit = $53.20 ÷ 2 = $26.60
Beatty's amount at first
= 1 unit + $14.20
= $26.60 + $14.20
= $40.80
Thanks!
