At first, my answer was 7. Then my teacher said it was wrong. So I have no idea what to write in that bracket.
Your teacher want you to show working on how you get the 7.
My teacher said that the answer is 5, not 7.
I just show you the unshaded area is 7.
For shaded area 12 -7 =5.
Teacher underlined the 12-7=5 due to no working on how you get 7 :)
