May I know how did you know that (x-1) is the root of the equation? XD

Usually for polynomials of power 3 and above, you can do an "inspection method" where you try and sub a value of x and see if its a root. If it is not that obvious, then use GC to find the first root and then do polynomial factorisation since the workings are usually required
