Let the length be L and the breadth be B
L = B + 6
4L/3 x B/2 = 144
4BL = 864
BL = 216
Substitute L = B + 6 to get
B^2 + 6B = 216
B^2 + 6B - 216 = 0
(B - 12)(B + 18) = 0
B = 12, -18 (NA)
L = 12 + 6 = 18
Perimeter = 2(B + L) = 2 x (12 + 18) = 60m
L = B + 6
4L/3 x B/2 = 144
4BL = 864
BL = 216
Substitute L = B + 6 to get
B^2 + 6B = 216
B^2 + 6B - 216 = 0
(B - 12)(B + 18) = 0
B = 12, -18 (NA)
L = 12 + 6 = 18
Perimeter = 2(B + L) = 2 x (12 + 18) = 60m
