You can use Guess and Check to solve this problem.
The total number of balloons for the boys is greater than the total number of balloons for the girls although each boy gets fewer balloons than each girls.
So, we can guess that the number of boys is much greater than the number of girls. Therefore, we can start with a much greater number of boys.
