Clockwise is the direction the seconds/minutes/hour hand moves in an analog clock. Anti clockwise is the opposite.
The first part of the question says face ____. So that is your starting point. The end of the question says you will be facing ____. That is the ending point.
For every one part of the ‘box’, it is 1/4 or 90degree. 2 ‘boxes’ will just mean 180 degree (90+90), or 1/2 (1/4 + 1/4).
Therefore for the first question (a), the answer will be from south to west in clockwise direction is to move one ‘box’ which is 90 degree.
