The graph is U-shaped passing through origin and point (1,1) and symmetrical about y-axis.
You can substitute x=1 into y=x^2 which shows y=1 when x=1 so the graph should pass through the point given.
This is a very standard graph shape so you should remember it and you could always Google if unsure:)
