Ratio question with difference remain same.
Since both sold an equal number, the difference remain same.
At first, ratio 3:7 difference = 7u-3u = 4u
After, ratio 5:13 difference = 13u -5u = 8u
Hence, we need to make the difference to 8u.
So, At first x2. 3:7 to 6:14, difference = 14u -6u = 8u (same as after 13u-3u =8u)....

From here,
We can either use
Red , 6u -5u = 1u or
Black, 14u-13u = 1u

Mean both sold same number pens.
Hope this helps
