As I mentioned to the other girl, bearings are just an extension of angles. You'll still only be using sine, cosine rules and area of triangle formula.

(i) Finding BC is a matter of finding angle BAC then applying cosine rule.

(ii) Pretty long and roundabout.

(iii) Now that you have learnt 2 different formulae to find the area of a triangle, finding the shortest distance is always about comparing these formulae. Remember that the shortest distance is always perpendicular.
