not very sure about answer for part (a), although it looks like the logical way to do.

for part (a), why is the answer not just 0.2x0.2x0.2 = 0.008?
consider flipping 3 coins, the outcomes are independent. probability of getting 3 heads is 0.5x0.5x0.5 = 0.125.
for this question, the outcomes are not independent. the probability of pay or no pay in a particular month, depends on the events of the previous month.
